Artificial Intelligence is disrupting the world of work at a fast rate. In simple terms, artificial intelligence is technology that replicates activities that would normally require human involvement such as speech or facial recognition. In this presentation, we will analyze what the impact that AI will have on lean six sigma, how to prepare for the changes that lie ahead, and how to harness the power of AI to work smarter. We will explore the major changes driving AI adoption and evolving work trends. One major change is anticipating change. In order for organizations to remain agile and retain their best performers, they will need to offload routine tasks to AI and embrace less formal management practices and set their employees free. The future is brightest for those who evolve with trends than chase after them. Another major change is productization, an offering packaged in such a way that it resembles a product, even if it is a service. This way it can be marketed, sold, and delivered in a consistent manner. In this new world, flexibility and adaptability are key to meeting customers’ needs. AI can work in the background to streamline the entire process and make the most current information readily accessible. The next major change is the speed of innovation. Innovation is driven by data and the ability to extract ideas from the data so decisions can be made. The traditional way of engineering a new product would require surveying existing customers and reviewing their responses. Artificial Intelligence can help you do it with increased proficiency. AI can sift through data to uncover patterns that you might otherwise miss and then combine that information with your survey results to allow you to make better decisions about the new product you want to create. AI can also streamline many aspects of stakeholder engagement like ongoing email communication and feedback. We will look at examples of how Intuit turns drudgery into delight by incorporating AI in its products and services. Powered by Intuit’s Tax Knowledge Engine (TKE), TurboTax uses artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to deliver a personalized, streamlined tax preparation experience. By intrinsically correlating and intertwining more than 80,000 pages of U.S. tax requirements and instructions based on an individual’s unique financial situation, we boost confidence by delivering an accurate, contextual, and layman-friendly experience tailored to each tax filer. We will discuss how to prepare for the disruption that AI will cause, hone the skills that AI cannot replace, and leverage AI to be more efficient and effective. It is increasingly important for you to leverage AI to do your job better rather than stay complacent and get displaced by it.
