ABSTRACT

Cyber security is no longer an unknown commodity and cyber crimes are now a global problem that affect many spheres of human life. Almost everything we see in our daily life may need some form of cyber security. With the adoption of new technologies and digitization of manufacturing, the amount of data generated, handled and transmitted is also growing exponentially. This also increases the risk of data breaches leading to cyber security incidents. While some organizations feel that they may not be a target of cyber crime, every new product and technology is at risk of being a target for cyber criminals. In light of this uncertain environment, manufacturers must do everything that is possible to be one-step ahead.

How do you combat cyber crimes directed at your organization? Do you have a management system to establish controls, monitor systems and respond in order to prevent and report cyber crimes? At this session, we will share our experiences and lessons learned implementing a Security Management System at a local manufacturing company.
