Bob Doering
Quality Engineer, CorrectSPC, LaGrange, USA

Bob Doering has been in the quality field for over 20 years. He is currently a quality engineer for an automotive component manufacturing firm, as well as a consultant in SPC, Metrology and Quality Concepts training.

Bob has implemented the CorrectSPC concepts in precision machining for over 15 years with significant success. He authored a seminal guide in statistical process control for machining CorrectSPC: When 'normal' is not typical. A practical guide for the statistical control of precision machining processes. Bob has shared his insights on this topic at professional society meetings and industrial training across the country.

He has industrial experience for over 37 years, many of which were in precision machining of automotive and medical components. He is an adjunct instructor at Lorain County Community College in Engineering Technology and Enrollment Services departments, and has lectured classes in Metrology and Quality Management. He holds associates degrees from Lorain County Community College of Elyria, Ohio and The University of Akron of Akron, Ohio; BA in Business and MBA in Systems Management from Baldwin-Wallace College, Berea, Ohio. He is a Senior ASQ member.
