BIOGRAPHY 

Sebastain J. Gould

Big Data Analyst, Arrow Electronics, Aurora, CO, USA

 

Sebastain Gould is a Big Data Analyst on the Global Data Science Team at Arrow Electronics, Inc. in Centennial, Colorado. Sebastain has worked with employees across the world on multiple projects of varying scope and charter, spanning nearly all business units, in many different functional roles. Before arriving at Arrow, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Stanford University and a Master of Science in Business Analytics from the University of Denver. Additionally, he has experience in a wide variety of fields including working with non-profits, software engineering, consulting, and even service during Operation Iraqi Freedom in the United States Marine Corps Infantry.

Sebastain is currently an Adjunct Instructor at the Daniels College of Business at University of Denver, teaching in the MS Business Analytics program. He also assists in advising Master of Science students on Capstone Projects, including topics that have ranged from forecasting, optimization, and market basket analysis to topics including basic text analysis and general visualization & presentation of materials.

Current topics of interest include new technologies in the Big Data space, new methods of doing Machine Learning, and paradigms of project management, ways of going work, and how to effectively execute change management strategies. Outside of the professional space, Sebastain has a strong interest in continuing readings on French Existentialism, fiction writing as a hobby, and is currently working on a survey text to supplement his in-class instruction.
