Since the growth of the corporate movement using Scrum and other frameworks for project management, there is a challenge of how we can integrate Agile Methods to Operational Excellence and especially the Lean Six Sigma approach.

The Kaizen Sprint was developed by consultants Gilberto Strafacci, José Goldfreind and Márcio Abraham between 2016 and 2017 after various efforts to integrate agile thinking into operational excellence projects. Essentially, Kaizen Sprint incorporates the iterative and incremental life cycle into the typical predictive driving of continuous improvement projects, more specifically the DMAIC.

Agile methods are both iterative and incremental. They are iterative because the work done is always improved in subsequent cycles. They are also incremental, because the planned work is delivered in parts that are added to the whole project.

In this lecture we will present the framework and application cases with results and reflections

Conference Chair's Message

Joel Smith

Continuous Improvement is not just something a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) practitioner leads their organization in practicing, but is also a core competency of their professional makeup. That is why more and more innovative and leading companies are looking for leaders that use the LSS way of thinking in everything they do within their organization.

In this era of data science and machine learning, the ability to connect the dots for end to end solutions across the boundaries of people, process and systems is the key to success. This year’s conference is focused on making sure we are “continuing” our journey as practitioners. Whatever your level of experience, you will learn new concepts, new perspectives and network with the best in the industry.
