Scott Jauman
Master Black Belt, Lean Six Sigma, Target Corporation, Brooklyn Park, MN, USA

Scott is passionate about using the Lean Six Sigma methodology to address the seemingly unsolvable. He became a project manager early in his career and was given the opportunity to address a few projects that others could not resolve. After some early successes, he was hooked on the concept of battling hidden root causes to drive positive change. Scott was an early adopter of the PMP methodology and earned his certification while working as an International Project Manager for Emerson Electric. After an eCommerce consulting stint at Pillsbury, Scott joined Best Buy as the Manager of eProcurement before becoming trained and certified under the tutelage of the George Group as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Master Black Belt. After 10 years supporting Corporate, Field, and Call Center operations for Geek Squad, Scott joined Target Corp. as the Master Black Belt for Information Security. His current role entails training and coaching individual Cyber Security Teams on Lean Six Sigma principles and also driving his own initiatives to protect the data of the guests of Target. The wildly competitive and chaotic nature of the retail environment continues to suit him perfectly.

Conference Chair's Message

Joel Smith

Continuous Improvement is not just something a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) practitioner leads their organization in practicing, but is also a core competency of their professional makeup. That is why more and more innovative and leading companies are looking for leaders that use the LSS way of thinking in everything they do within their organization.

In this era of data science and machine learning, the ability to connect the dots for end to end solutions across the boundaries of people, process and systems is the key to success. This year’s conference is focused on making sure we are “continuing” our journey as practitioners. Whatever your level of experience, you will learn new concepts, new perspectives and network with the best in the industry.
