How do we sustain the gains we make during Kaizen events, especially when there are multiple divisions located across North America?
Best practices will be shared which were developed over the years to track and cascade Kaizen events in company facilities. This session will touch on a Continuous Improvement Lean Daily Management (LDM) board—we have these boards for every other area, why not for Kaizen Events? PPHC have this space for past and future Kaizen events, team pictures, 5-S promotions, news and suggestions. These are the measures that help us see and show the plants that Lean works! After every Kaizen event, there is an “on-the-floor” report out with the plant leadership team. The C.I. lead then must capture the highlights of the event in a Power Point presentation. These power points are collected into a large newsletter and shared with all leadership teams within all divisions. “Steal Shamelessly” is another initiative created to share best practices between divisions.
