BIOGRAPHY 

Gil Marques

Senior VP, Enterprise Operations, HMS, Irving, TX, USA


 

Gil Marques is an operations executive with expertise in Quality, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies and applications. Mr. Marques has spent almost 20 years focusing on operational delivery systems, quality programs, and process improvement in manufacturing, healthcare, and informatics. As a certified Lean and Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Gil's focus is on reducing costs, increasing quality, and maximizing revenue, while staying laser focused on delighting the customer.

Mr. Marques has been recognized industry wide for his work in quality and process improvement. Gil has received over 15 awards, including the EIA Team Idea of the Year award, and recognition as a finalist of the ASQ Team Excellence Award at the 2010 ASQ World Conference. Gil has also had the privilege of working at Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence, Texas Award for Performance Excellence, and Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award winning companies.

Mr. Marques received an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, a graduate degree in Engineering Management from the college of Industrial, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering at the University of Texas Arlington, and completed additional graduate work in Operations Leadership and Organizational Management at Drexel University.
