BIOGRAPHY 

Richard C. Murrow

Chief Executive Officer, Air Academy Associates LLC,

"Richard (Rick) C. Murrow, Chief Executive Officer, Air Academy Associates. Rick has over thirty years of experience at all levels of responsibility in organizational planning, project management, process improvement, senior level business management, and strategic policy planning. While Vice President, Quality Systems, GE Mortgage Services Inc. (GEMSI), Rick implemented Lean Six Sigma at four sites, training over 2,000 employees. He directed the efforts of 14 Master Black Belts, the Quality training staff, and over 40 Black Belts.

As Quality and Management Innovation Director, USAF’s Air Combat Command, he orchestrated the creation of a Center of Excellence and provided leadership to the 55-person organization. During this time, he implemented operational improvements in performance systems for an organization of 165,000 employees at 32 different sites.

Dr. Murrow earned a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from USAF Academy, a M.S. in Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University, an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from University of Colorado. For the last thirteen years, Dr. Murrow has worked directly with senior leadership, management, and quality directors of several leading companies to improve processes, products, services, and business systems. Organizations supported include USAA, Farm Bureau Financial Services, Sony, Hyundai, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Broadlane, Gates Rubber, Raytheon, St. Jude Medical, Textron Financial Corporation, Valeant, Apogee, Xerox, Kyocera, Shell, Lockheed Martin, GlaxoSmithKline, Bose, Schlumberger, Grupo IMSA, Kimberly Clark, Samsung Capital, and multiple government departments and agencies, including the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Most recently, Rick has trained and mentored leadership within bio medical companies, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare systems. Currently Rick is supporting the VA New England Network of Medical Centers. In support of the VA, Rick has led various leadership and supervisory session for the Medical-Center management teams and VISN leadership.

In addition to a variety of published technical papers and articles, Rick has also co-authored the book, Knowledge Based Management - Authors: Mark J. Kiemele, Richard C. Murrow, and Lee R. Pollock.

Who May Submit: This online form may be used by a principal speaker, co-speaker, contact person, or a committee member submitting on behalf of a speaker.

Multiple Proposals: You may submit multiple proposals.

Conference Registration Fee:
The conference registration fee is waived for the principal speaker of accepted proposals. Speakers are responsible for their travel expenses and arrangements. Co-speakers will receive a 30% discount for the conference that they are presenting at.

Length of Presentations: Technical sessions are typically 35 minutes. There will be a limited number of "double" sessions, 70 minutes, at the end of each day.

Proposal Title: Maximum 80 characters including spaces. 

Keywords:Please include three keywords with a maximum of 100 characters, including spaces. 

Industry Sector: Please select the most relevant Industry sector for the proposal from a list.

Abstract: The Abstract should be 1,500 to 5,000 characters (note that it is Characters, NOT words), including spaces.

Biography: The Biography must be 1,500 to 5,000 characters, including spaces.
