Tom Quick

Senior Manager, Ernst & Young, Powell, OH, USA

Tom is a proven leader in the fields of operational excellence, supply chain management, and new product development with extensive skills and global experience in: - Using advanced quality methods (Lean Six Sigma) to improve business processes, improve products and reduce costs - Improving operational efficiencies and asset utilization with Total Productive Manufacturing - Creating fast and flexible systems for developing and delivering new products - Reducing quality and logistics risks in the supplier base world-wide, particularly in China and Europe - Raising the performance level of the entire organization through the use of management control systems, metrics, planning, and innovative training.

Tom Quick works with many large, multinational companies, helping each of their locations gain control over their processes, achieve high-quality levels, improve throughput, eliminate defects, and reduce costs. Previously he implemented SPC at Koppers, led a group of black belts at Anheuser Busch, applied lean and Six Sigma at several divisions for Spectrum Brands, built a Six Sigma program from scratch at Scotts MiracleGro, and helped Ardagh, Novelis, Akzo Nobel, and others successfully implement TPM and SPC. Today he a consultant with EY in their process improvement practice.
