ABSTRACT Digital Passport: Creating a Green Belt Dashboard to Increase SuccessIndustry: Career Development Keywords: Green Belt; Dashboard; Certification Level: Basic Changing roles, and taking on new challenges and opportunities is a great way to develop technical breadth and depth. Another way to develop professionally is through training; Green Belt training is a good example. However, when changing roles and attending Green Belt training occur within the same amount of time, it can be easy to get lost on the Green Belt Certification journey. In 2023, a small team was formed to determine what could be done to help employees in this situation. Because Green Belt training is offered multiple times a year, and employees will continue to grow professionally, the team performed a thorough and comprehensive analysis so that the correct solutions were implemented. One solution that was implemented to help improve employees track their certification journey was a Green Belt Certification dashboard. This Green Belt Certification dashboard was developed as an informative and visual management tool that employees could use to track their progress. It includes progress related to training, project status, and even captures if a mentor/mentee connection has been made. Overall, it provides a summary information in one view that the end users can use to answer a single question: Where am I in my journey to Green Belt Certification? This presentation will discuss the framework for this interesting tool which is empowering people to answer that question, as well as discuss the automation engine behind the dashboard. After attending this presentation, you will be inspired to implement a similar visual management tool in your organization.
